Going through Dubai several times each year my company sometimes arranges my stay at the Majestic Towers Hotel in Dubai where one of the Bistro Restaurants is the Tirquaz - now renamed Elia. I have eaten there for both breakfast and dinner meals. They have a variety of dishes, from Middle Eastern to European but in all honesty, a buffet is a buffet, no matter what country you may be in unless you’re eating at the Safar Buffet in the Dubai International Airport, which was fantastic. But, when you have a long day ahead of you, nothing beats a nice omelet or eggs to order, and the Tirquaz breakfast buffet is nice.

You can enjoy a modern, fresh approach to casual dining with a good size selection of international dishes plus continental classics. You can also enjoy Shisha and dine al fresco at the poolside. The Tirquaz Garden Lounge also offers middle eastern hospitality fused with international flavors.

As I mentioned above, a buffet is a buffet, and service was equal to a typical buffet, hard to find. However, I do have to give credit where credit is due, and for their dinner selections, there were some outstanding items prepared. These dishes ranged from Middle Eastern, Indian, North African, and European styles. Their beef tenderloin with creamy pepper sauce and the Moroccan Lamb were quite an enjoyable entrées from that buffet. For side dishes, I have to highlight the parsley buttered potatoes, cooked in Noisette hazelnut butter.

If your American and reading this review, you can compare it to a Shoney’s or Golden Corral from back home, or if you’re from the UK, then you can compare it to a basic style Toby Carvery.

Dessert:
As the restaurant is a buffet the dessert selection is large with many items to choose from which also include fruit and cheese selections.

Final notes, review basics, observations, and more pictures:

Most reviews are subjective, depending on the writer; but they should also be responsible, and respectfully written, upholding the truth, and accurately conveying the experience to the best of the writer's knowledge, even if it includes metaphors the restaurant may not like to read about. My ratings are by the stars I award (from 0 to 5). The rating is calculated on a point accumulation of six separate factors based on individual experience. They include wine and other beverage selections, plate presentation, customer service, restaurant or café ambiance, food quality, and wow factor.
