By Cuisine / By Country DVIDS- The Defense Video Imagery Distribution System, is a web page that provides news, images, audio, video, and publications from military operations around the world. The operation is run by Third Army/U.S. Army Central (ARCENT) on behalf of the Department of the Army. DVIDS supports all branches of the U.S. military and its coalition partners serving with U.S. Forces in the Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility and throughout the world. DVIDS also maintains an archive of ongoing operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain. They receive public affairs and combat-camera content, including live video feeds, and provides to the civilian media videos, photographs and print products, including publications, as well as interviews with service members, commanders, and non-military experts.
In 2012 while working at FOB Sharana in Paktika Province, Afghanistan as part of a documentary series on feeding the troops, I was interviewed while working at the RSOI Dining Facility (DFAC). The video below is from YouTube, and the archive link to this video is listed below.
