Holeman and Finch Public House Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Executive Chef:
Linton and Gina Hopkins

Chef de Cuisine:

What could be better than a full animal cookery? How about the best damn burger in six states along the East coast? Holeman and Finch is that place. You probably hear from many people and many website reviews or restaurants that they have eaten the best burger. Go ahead, try them, then come to Holeman and have the true best.  The iconic "H and F Burger" is available in limited quantities each day. A little hint: 24 of them after 10pm. It is now offered at the H&F Burger at the Ponce City Market, and at the new home ballpark of the Atlanta Braves, SunTrust Park

Holeman and Finch Public House is located in the bottom of the Aramore Condo building, 2 blocks south of the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center and 6 blocks north of Piedmont Hospital. Lunch and Brunch on Saturday and Sunday are self-parking in the covered lot behind the restaurant. There is complimentary valet each night between 5pm and 10pm and then self-parking after.

Menu:
    • Raw
    • Smaller
    • Larger
    • Parts
    • Farm
    • Salumi and Cheese
    • Sweets

The menu at Holeman and Finch lives up to its name as a full animal cookery. With pan-roasted veal brains, chicken liver paté served with a sorghum gelée, to pork belly confit, and oysters on the half shell. Being a southern themed public house, most of the oysters are from St Jude Farms, South Carolina featuring Ace Blade and Sweet Caroline. Add that to the house-made pimento cheese, deviled eggs, johnnycakes, and red grit small plates then you have a good representation of the south-east coast. Focusing on Georgia for their entree sections you have lower Appalachian trout, Georgia prime steaks, and Georgia Royal Red Shrimp.

The H&F Burger is a griddle double cheeseburger, topped with red onion and house-made pickles, served on a freshly baked pan de mie bun with from-scratch ketchup, and mustard on the side. The bun-to-burger ratio size in mind is butter-toasted on the griddle for crispy golden edges. This burger is a direct descendant of the original that debuted at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. With the two new locations, which I have not been to yet, I’m not sure if the quality will be the same as the original now that it is mass produced.

Dessert:
Sticky toffee pudding, bourbon burnt sugar gelato and being Atlanta the Coca-Cola float with espresso ice cream round up the sweets menu, and though I only enjoyed the burger, these desserts all sounded wonderful.

Final notes, review basics, observations and more pictures:

Most reviews are subjective, depending on the writer; but they should also be responsible, and respectfully written, upholding the truth, and accurately conveying the experience to the best of the writer's knowledge, even if it includes metaphors the restaurant may not like to read about. My ratings are by the stars I award (from 0 to 5). The rating is calculated on a point accumulation of six separate factors based on individual experience. They include wine and other beverage selections, plate presentation, customer service, restaurant or café ambiance, food quality, and wow factor. To see more details of this rating list, read this article:

Overall from this experience and the score factors outlined in the ‘about page’ section, based on my individual experience and rating, I give Holeman and Finch a 4 out of 5 stars, meaning that they not exceeded my expectations and were far above the average dining experience of most restaurants, but they were just outstanding.
