Manatees on the Bay signifies a Florida mammal called the sea cow on the endangered list that is protected by the strongest of Florida’s laws. So is service, food quality, taste, and ambiance for the restaurant also endangered? The last review in 2016 had one of the lowest scores I could give to a restaurant without being downright awful. So have they improved?
Before 2016 the restaurant was called Spinnakers, then became Manatees on the Bay. On the first visit my wife, daughter, and I had the truffle macaroni and cheese entree that all three of us shared. The dish came with blackened chicken, panko bread crumbs, bacon, and truffle cheese sauce. On this visit, it was nearly Christmas and the first-floor dining room was decorated with the typical seasonal holiday cheer of lights and Christmas trees. My wife had some wine, while I had a draft beer.
For our lunch entree, we had the pork sliders with a side of French fries. The dish was served on a wood paddle cutting board with three pretzel bread mini sandwich roll sliders mixed with a house-made BBQ sauce and topped with pepper jack cheese and coleslaw. I was pleasantly surprised from each bite with tender pulled pork that was flavorful and moist. So food quality was not endangered and ambiance was typical to the style of restaurant, but other factors such as customer service were not to a higher level than was to be expected, especially with the fact that it was a rainy day and there were only three other customers in the bar. This was our experience, you might have a completely different one, so you decide. The food on both visits was good so I would recommend if that was the only factor to the review.

These include the native Indian prior to European colonization, Hawaiian, and not forgetting the melting pot of immigrants that came and fused their styles together to make America. This list will be of restaurants that represent the broader base of American cuisine, using styles from all parts of the country on their menus. Final notes, review basics, observations, and more pictures:
Most reviews are subjective, depending on the writer; but they should also be responsible, and respectfully written, upholding the truth, and accurately conveying the experience to the best of the writer's knowledge, even if it includes metaphors the restaurant may not like to read about. My ratings are by the stars I award (from 0 to 5). The rating is calculated on a point accumulation of six separate factors based on individual experience. They include wine and other beverage selections, plate presentation, customer service, restaurant or café ambiance, food quality, and wow factor. To see more details of this rating list, read this article:
Overall from this experience, and the score factors outlined in the ‘about page’ section, based on my individual experience and rating, I give Manatees On The Bay a 1 out of 5 stars, meaning that they were an average dining experience like most restaurants.
