Tranzeet Zomato rating:
Tranzeet is a 24-hour restaurant designed and influenced to mimic the classic American Diner from the 1920s to 1960s when the classic diner was referred to as a coffee shop, luncheonette, dinerette, and a soda shop. The menu includes international favorites fused with local flavor giving you a small step into the Emirates style of cuisine without leaving the comforts of western food styles. They also seek a better alternative to western fast-food without sacrificing quality as well as value. They are rooted in the Pan-Arab culture serving items that are prevalent in local kitchens but remaining independent from the chain restaurants that neighbor them. Offering breakfast all day long plus American ‘blue-plate specials,’ sandwiches, and grab and go items.
Tranzeet is part of the HWH portfolio of airport restaurants headquartered in Dubai and is a hospitality investment and management firm. Founded in 2013 focusing on developing and operating dining experiences conceptualized with the “transient passenger” in mind.
Tranzeet Menu:
- 24 Hour Breakfast
- Appetizers
- Entrees
- Sides
- Desserts
The 24-hour breakfast items include cinnamon apple pancakes, shakshuka eggs, omelets, and loaded bagels. The entree selections include American style burgers plus dipping into the Pan-Arab menu style by offering a falafel version with whipped tahini. Other American or Central American favorites include spaghetti with meatballs, Philly cheese steak sandwich, macaroni and cheese, nachos, and tacos. I had a seven-hour layover in Dubai from midnight awaiting my next flight leaving at 8am, and after a few hours of napping, was ready for breakfast. When you walk into the restaurant it is like walking into a modern version of Mel’s Diner, and you can get lost in the surrounding of classic Americana until you hear the ‘call to prayer’ over the loudspeakers of the airport reminding you that you are in the Middle East.
I had the Tranzeet big breakfast which it tries to copy an American style breakfast, it is more to the style of an English breakfast, and Halal friendly, so that means no pork. The dish came with two eggs fried over medium, lamb merguez and turkey bacon instead of American pork bacon, sautéed mushrooms, with roasted tomatoes, homemade hash, and baked beans. With tomato and beans, it screamed English breakfast, and really the only thing American about it for this American diner was the eggs.
The plate was presented in a casual style like most diners would serve, and fully loaded with food. The lamb had a nice flavor with light spice and a tender texture which was even better dipped in the runny yolks. The beans lacked spice and were very bland, but the mushrooms made up for that and were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning.

Final notes, review basics, observations, and more pictures:
Most reviews are subjective, depending on the writer; but they should also be responsible, and respectfully written, upholding the truth, and accurately conveying the experience to the best of the writer's knowledge, even if it includes metaphors the restaurant may not like to read about. My ratings are by the stars I award (from 0 to 5). The rating is calculated on a point accumulation of six separate factors based on individual experience. They include wine and other beverage selections, plate presentation, customer service, restaurant or café ambiance, food quality, and wow factor.
