The Curator in Terminal 3 is Heathrow’s newest establishment which aims to introduce you the travelers to a tempting sophisticated palate to try new tastes and sensations, or reminding you of great dishes that perhaps you’d forgotten, all based around the themes of classic British cuisine. The Curator Bar and Dining offers selections of small-batch artisan cocktails, craft beers and ales, Champagne and a moderately-sized wine collection tailored to the trends of passengers traveling through the terminal. The food is inspired by the changing seasons in Britain with classic bold ingredients with a blend of seasonal artisan flavors of local and organic British produce. While traveling through Heathrow’s Terminal 3 I had a few hours before my continuing flight to stop and enjoy breakfast at The Curator.

The restaurant had over 75 tables and standing by the entrance there was a wait for even the bar seats were all taken. Once seated you have a few minutes to look over the menu and make your selection as the serving staff is jumping from table to table and are extremely busy. I order a coffee and a Bloody Mary to start as I looked at the breakfast selection. The people sitting around me were from all walks of life, from families traveling to people on business, and based on accent over half were from Britain.
The Bloody Mary arrived and had classic ingredients of Smirnoff vodka, tomato juice, salt, and pepper, fresh lemon, Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce. The fresh ingredients produced a strong aroma which carried over into the taste. I’m glad that they did not use a premium vodka as that would just be a waste of money anyway since the spicy, tangy flavor of the Mary chemically overpowers the flavor of the vodka. You could still taste the vodka which was good, but it wasn’t overpowering which was even better. There was a nice burning aftertaste from the spice and the drink went down well as I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich.
The breakfast selections include classic English breakfast plates with sausages, eggs, beans, bacon rashers, tomato and mushrooms, omelets, Benedict’s, pancakes, bakery items and more. I chose the big brunch sandwich with Cumberland sausage which originated in the ancient county of Cumberland, England, now part of Cumbria and unlike most sausages that are divided into links, the Cumberland sausage is one continuous, rope-like coiled sausage. It is typically filled with coarsely chopped pork and black pepper, and sometimes other ingredients such as herbs and spices. The meat content is usually 85–98%. The sandwich also had back bacon rashers and a fried egg served on white bread, with a side cubed potatoes. As far as taste the spice of Cumberland sausage went great with the eggs and sides. The presentation of regular white bread cut straight through versus toasted did make the eye appeal of the dish a little less than anticipated from reading how good it looked on the menu plus the rule of odds would have added more excitement to the presentation.
Dessert:
I did not have dessert during this visit, but some items of interest on the menu include the sticky toffee pudding.

Other noteworthy English cuisine articles and restaurants similar to The Curator:
English cuisine encompasses the cooking styles, traditions, and recipes with wider British cuisine, partly through the importation of ingredients and ideas from North America, China, and India. British cuisine is the specific set of cooking traditions and practices associated with the United Kingdom. British cuisine has been described as “unfussy" dishes made with quality local ingredients, matched with simple sauces to accentuate flavor, rather than disguise it.

Final notes, review basics, observations, and more pictures:
Most reviews are subjective, depending on the writer; but they should also be responsible, and respectfully written, upholding the truth, and accurately conveying the experience to the best of the writer's knowledge, even if it includes metaphors the restaurant may not like to read about. My ratings are by the stars I award (from 0 to 5). The rating is calculated on a point accumulation of six separate factors based on individual experience. They include wine and other beverage selections, plate presentation, customer service, restaurant or café ambience, food quality, and wow factor.
To see more details of this rating list, read this article:
Overall from this experience and the score factors outlined in the ‘about page’ section, based on my individual experience and rating, I give The Curator a 2 out of 5 stars, meaning that they were far above the average dining experience of most restaurants.
