Anclote Brew Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

From gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, ceviche, and fish dip Anclote Brew delivers it with a home run. Stop in, listen to the violin master play in the courtyard, and people watch in this busy tourist area near the Sponge Docks. Anclote Brew began in the summer of 1978 when Cat and Andrea wanted to create a “special watering hole with passion.”

My wife and I stopped in to enjoy a quick lunch. It was a small place with a bar on the inside and several high tops and tables on the patio. The patio allowed smoking, and the neighboring Greek restaurant had several smokers outside while we ate. their patio was connected to Anclote. My wife had a sauvignon blanc to drink while I had the Anclote Brew, one of ten local Florida beers that they offered. It was an amber ale from Cape Canaveral. Other special beers include a vanilla porter, a brown ale from Escape Brewery, and an IPA from Big Storm Brewery to name a few.

Menu:
    • Sandwiches
    • Lite Bites
    • Desserts
The Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwich section had a variety of ten choices in grilled cheese delights. We chose two to share that included the Benedictine Grilled Cheese with cucumber, cream cheese, dill, tomatoes, and bacon. This was a wonderful grilled cheese, with the fresh cucumber flavor, the salty bacon sensation, and the texture of the cream cheese instead of a typical cheddar like most grilled cheese sandwiches you get at restaurants.

The second sandwich was a Turkey Apple Cheddar with sweet apple, honey smoked turkey, and sharp cheddar, a great combination of fresh mouth-watering fruit along with the sharp cheddar.

Other gourmet grilled cheeses include a Caprese, pizza, sweet hot swine, and pimento delight. They also had a lite bites sections with had smoked mullet fish dip, a beer cheese and a pineapple habanero dip with dipping sides.

Final notes, review basics, observations and more pictures:

Most reviews are subjective, depending on the writer; but they should also be responsible, and respectfully written, upholding the truth, and accurately conveying the experience to the best of the writer's knowledge, even if it includes metaphors the restaurant may not like to read about. My ratings are by the stars I award (from 0 to 5). The rating is calculated on a point accumulation of six separate factors based on individual experience. They include wine and other beverage selections, plate presentation, customer service, restaurant or café ambiance, food quality, and wow factor. To see more details of this rating list, read this article:

Overall from this experience, and the score factors outlined in the ‘about page section, based on my individual experience and rating, I give Anclote a 2 out of 5 stars, meaning that they not only exceeded my expectations but were far above the average dining experience of most restaurants.
