Napoletana Pizzeria Zomato rating:
Napoletana Pizzeria is a fast-food Italian restaurant tucked away along “the walk” in Jumeirah Beach at the Dubai Marina. There are hotels, shopping outlets, and over one hundred restaurants. Among them is the Napoletana Pizzeria Tradizionale, where I was told that their homemade wood-burning stone oven pizzas were the best in Dubai, and comparable to Naples and Sicily. But were they?
Menu:
- Anti-Pasta
- Insalate
- Pizzas
- Pasta
- Pasta al Forno
- Desserts
With that kind of recommendation, anyone would go, but it was not all cracked up to be. The starter appetizer of Bruschetta Assortite which consisted of a few goat pieces of cheese, mozzarella, and a wonderful salt-cured and air-dried beef bresaola. There were also a few more crostini pieces with tomato, which were also very refreshing. That is of course when I could finally order as the patio was half full, but service was very slow, and customer service was next to zero.

Then came the entrée, the pizza’s they are known for…Sorry folks. The crust was good because it did come from that wood-burning stone stove, but when you are dealing with the food; never false advertise your product. What I mean by that is on their Pizza menu, the most expensive pizza they had was called the Bufala, which was supposed to be a tomato sauce, fresh basil, and Buffalo Mozzarella cheese pizza. Now, I was in Naples, Italy in 2002, and was introduced to fresh Buffalo Mozzarella, and let me tell you that it was heaven, and outside of Italy is hard to get and expensive, because it only keeps fresh for a very short period of time, typically 48 hours. So when I saw the menu, and the price, I thought wow, they really have it. Well, it tasted the same as the melted mozzarella on the Bruschetta Appetizer. It did not look, smell, or even taste like Bufala. When that happened, it turned me off from the dessert menu, and I wanted my bill.

They did have several pasta selections to choose from if you didn’t want any pizza, to include vegetarian lasagnas to cater to that crowd, but overall I was not very impressed with my lunch here at Napoletana. So they were called the best, but were they? I have to say no. Maybe I caught them on a bad day or something and would be willing to try again. This is my subjective thoughts on their menu.
Dessert:
I did not have dessert during this visit.

Pizza is a yeasted flatbread typically topped with tomato sauce, cheese, and baked in an oven. It is commonly topped with a selection of meats, vegetables, and condiments. The term pizza was first recorded in the tenth century, in a Latin manuscript from Gaeta. The modern pizza was invented in Naples, Italy, and the dish and its variants have since become popular and common in many areas of the world.

Final notes, review basics, and observations:
Most reviews are subjective, depending on the writer; but they should also be responsible, and respectfully written, upholding the truth, and accurately conveying the experience to the best of the writer's knowledge, even if it includes metaphors the restaurant may not like to read about. My ratings are by the stars I award (from 0 to 5). The rating is calculated on a point accumulation of six separate factors based on individual experience. They include wine and other beverage selections, plate presentation, customer service, restaurant or café ambiance, food quality, and wow factor.
