Ferg's Sports Bar & Grill Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Ferg’s is an iconic sports bar that has been around since 1992, which used to be a Sunoco gas station, purchased by a local school teacher named Mark Ferguson. Today it is the place to go after Ray’s games, or anytime at all, as the bar and grill now span nearly two city blocks, and is a must visit on your list when you come to St. Petersburg. CNN named Ferg’s Sports Bar as one of the Top 101 Sports Bars in the country (#21 on this list). It encompassing nearly two city blocks, with 90+ TV’s, several bars, and now they have duckpin bowling which my wife and I had a Groupon to do that came with food and drinks.

This was our second visit to Ferg’s, and on our first, we met with friends and family after the baseball Ray’s game. Several items from the menu were ordered on that visit and shared like their Cuban sandwich, food truck nachos, fried chicken finger plate, and the potato skins appetizer. All perfect choices for an afternoon following a baseball game. On this visit, my wife and I enjoyed the hummus and vegetable Platter while she had a patron margarita, and the spicy Ahi tuna nachos; sushi grade, over fried rice chips, finished with wasabi aioli and spicy mayo, with my drink being a Reef Donkey beer from the Tampa Bay Brewing Company.

Final notes, review basics, observations and more pictures:

Most reviews are subjective, depending on the writer; but they should also be responsible, and respectfully written, upholding the truth, and accurately conveying the experience to the best of the writer's knowledge, even if it includes metaphors the restaurant may not like to read about. My ratings are by the stars I award (from 0 to 5). The rating is calculated on a point accumulation of six separate factors based on individual experience. They include wine and other beverage selections, plate presentation, customer service, restaurant or café ambiance, food quality, and wow factor. To see more details of this rating list, read this article:

Overall from this experience, and the score factors outlined in the ‘about page’ section, based on my individual experience and rating, I give Ferg’s a 2 out of 5 stars, meaning that they were far above the average dining experience of most restaurants. The first review score was 3 of 5 stars, so they have declined slightly from my last visit.
