Seahorse Restaurant was established in 1938 when Pass-a-Grille was much smaller and one of the only original beach communities on the West Coast of Florida. The old town center was located between 7th and 9th Avenues and many of the original structures are still standing. Robert Ripley of "Believe It or Not" fame once called 8th Avenue "America's Shortest and Most Beautiful Main Street.” The Seahorse Restaurant was one of the original Drive-In restaurants.  Located across the street from the Merry Pier, it has been an important part of Pass-A-Grille history attracting tourists and local folks alike. It has been a family-owned and operated the business for the last 40 years.

The Seahorse Restaurant has a breakfast and lunch menu offering classic American breakfast favorites and a seafood-centric menu for lunch. For entrees, we had the Cuban toast with guacamole and the hangover helper dish, a good play on words for two over-medium fried eggs on a bed of sausage gravy.

Dessert:
The Seahorse Restaurant has one dessert listing of the key lime pie which we did not have during this visit, but maybe next time.

Final notes, review basics, observations, and more pictures:

Most reviews are subjective, depending on the writer; but they should also be responsible, and respectfully written, upholding the truth, and accurately conveying the experience to the best of the writer's knowledge, even if it includes metaphors the restaurant may not like to read about. My ratings are by the stars I award (from 0 to 5). The rating is calculated on a point accumulation of six separate factors based on individual experience. They include wine and other beverage selections, plate presentation, customer service, restaurant or café ambience, food quality, and wow factor.
To see more details of this rating list, read this article:

Overall from this experience and the score factors outlined in the ‘about page’ section, based on my individual experience and rating, I give Seahorse Restaurant a 2 out of 5 stars, meaning that they were far above the average dining experience of most restaurants.
